The Retired Players Association was incorporated to provide direct, representation in navigating business interests for the retired NFL player family. Including but not limited to financial decisions as well as aid in long term retirement decisions.
About RPA: Our legends of professional football often go unrecognized after leaving the playing field – both in terms of their contributions to America’s greatest game, and to the valuable charitable work they do behind the scenes. The RPA was created to provide support to these amazing individuals through multiple outlets. Chief among them being the provision of successful post football outlets through which they are afforded the same opportunity to shine in their post athletic career that they did while participating in sports. Additionally, we desire to shed light on these men and their social/charitable contributions, connecting them with fans across the country who appreciate their efforts and want to help support their causes. The RPA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that was created to provide all forms of service, benefit and opportunity to the retired and retiring athlete. The RPA provides general information, transitionary outlets, business opportunities and general resources to the retired / retiring athlete. By building a strong platform through strategic alliances with like-minded business, industrial professionals and community leaders, the RPA is a center of guidance, support and opportunity to all retiring/retired players. Mission Statement: The RPA is dedicated to providing national advocacy and support for retired/retiring football players, their families and the community at large. Our key areas of focus are to raise awareness and funding in support of education, finances and career transition for our athletic heroes. In addition to the aforementioned focus, RPA funding will help support organizations that research and provide assistance in the cause and effects of head trauma as it relates to Alzheimer's, ALS and CTE. The RPA provides medical and financial assistance for members needing help in these areas by building a strong platform through ongoing strategic alliances with the most successful and influential entities in these fields. The RPA has and will continue to be the premier center of guidance, support and opportunity to and for players relative to all of their needs. This includes but is not limited to; education, career transition, financial literacy and health needs. We will provide educational events, additional income opportunities, appearances, signings, speaking opportunities and strategic alliances. |
